Modern European Roads in Moldova

High-quality roads are critical for the movement of people, goods and services, and Moldova lagged behind other countries in the region in terms of the quality and maintenance of its road network. MCC helped Moldova build a national road network worthy of a modern European nation, by funding the rehabilitation of 59.7 miles of a major north-south highway connecting the cities of Sarateni and Soroca.
