MCC CEO Dana J. Hyde Visits the Mt. Coffee Hydropower Dam in Liberia

On the third stop of the MCC Powering Africa trip, MCC CEO Dana J. Hyde toured the Mt. Coffee Hydropower Dam in Liberia, the country’s largest source of power. Working with the Government of Liberia, MCC is helping to restore the dam as part of the Liberia Compact. The dam will triple the amount of energy the local electric company is able to produce – a significant improvement in a country where only 9 percent of people have access to electricity.
