Mozambique Compact Monitoring & Evaluation

Projected Results by End of Compact

The Mozambique Compact aimed to achieve the results below by the end of the compact in September 2013:

  • Reduce the poverty rate by up to 10% in Northern Mozambique (Provinces of Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Zambezia, and Niassa);
  • Increase annual household income by up to $62, and
  • Reduce the incidence of stunted children under the age of 5 by 13%.

Results to Date

Information on results to date is available in the Table of Key Performance Indicators (a subset of the full set monitored under the Mozambique Monitoring and Evaluation Plan). The full set of performance indicators is detailed in the final Monitoring and Evaluation Plan.

Impact Evaluation Framework

MCC carefully monitored implementation performance and the measurement of preliminary results. MCC funded several independent evaluations to assess what would have happened in the absence of the MCC investments, and to measure impacts specifically attributable to MCC-funded activities.
